‘slow down’ a COPE Exhibition and Event by VAEV R&D in Vienna

The Multiplier Event of the COPE project, organized by VAEV R&D in Vienna, concluded with the impactful exhibition “slow down” on August 22-23, 2024. Curated by Laura Oyuela, and hosted in the project space from WUK in the heart of Vienna’s 9th district, the exhibition invited participants to engage in a collective act of slowing down to foster mental well-being and support one another during challenging times.

The event showcased the works of Brenner-Havelka-Plessl, Arasyem Art, and a performance by Genet Glass. Through diverse artistic expressions, visitors were encouraged to reflect on mental health, anxiety, and stress, aligning with the COPE project’s mission to promote well-being through creative engagement.

Funded by the European Commission, the COPE project aims to use art and digital tools for peer support, helping young people navigate difficult times. Overall, the event marked a meaningful conclusion to the COPE project, leaving a lasting impact on its participants and the wider community. By fostering a collective spirit of slowing down, the exhibition not only highlighted the therapeutic power of art but also reinforced the importance of peer support and shared experiences in promoting mental health.
